Presbyterian Cursillo and Presbyterian Pilgrimage spiritual renewal retreats are alike in all major respects except one:
Presbyterian Cursillo is subject to the terms of the license agreement that allows it to use the name Cursillo. The principal restriction is that Presbyterian Cursillo may allow only members of a Presbyterian Church to participate in its Cursillo weekend retreats.
Presbyterian Pilgrimage groups have chosen not to be bound by that requirement and thus do not use the Cursillo name. Presbyterian Pilgrimage accepts members of any Christian church in its Pilgrimage weekend retreats.

In all other respects, Presbyterian Cursillo and Presbyterian Pilgrimage are essentially the same.

The butterfly is often used as a symbol for Cursillo and
the rooster as a symbol for Pilgrimage.
